The caves were amazing and our guide Walter was the best. Would recommend to anyone looking for an adventure
We started the foggy morning, driving to the ATM, with our guide, Reggie. He was very informative, throughout our adventure, providing insight into the country of Belize, its inhabitants, culture, and history. While crossing rivers and hiking to the cave, he was highly knowledgeable of the surrounding nature, and wildlife. When we were inside the cave, he provided intricate details of the geological, biological, and cultural significance of the site. Reggie maintained, a comfortable, safe, and fun experience, for my fiancée and I, which will be one of the many highlights of our trip to Belize. After going to the ATM, we continued our day, with Ronnie, at what the locals refer to as Jaguars Paw. We arrived at the perfect time, near the end of the day, when there were very few visitors to contend with. Following a short hike, we entered the river, on our leisurely float. Ronnie was a highly adept at navigating the waters, leading us through the passages, and explaining, various facets of the area, continuously through the float. We stopped and took a shot walk into the cave, entering into a chamber that opened out into the jungle from a sinkhole. The environment is as magical, with crystal clear water and a large rock, that we jumped off and into the pool to swim. As we continued on, it was a serene and intimate experience. Both, Ronnie and Reggie, were extremely professional, experienced, educational, and kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better company and guides to leads us on what was a perfect day. We would highly recommend them to anyone and thank them for their service.
My fiancé and I had such a great experience on two different tours. For the ATM cave our guide, Reggie, was so helpful and informative. Between traversing rivers, swimming through pools, and climbing on slick rocks, he made us feel safe and prepared, allowing us to have such a great time. Each step of the way, he educated us about the history of the caves and Mayan tradition. No question we had went unanswered. The cave tubing was the perfect combination of relaxation and play. As we floated through the cave, our guide, Ronnie, gave us the low down on the history of the park and a deeper insight of how the tunnels were used ceremoniously. We made a quick stop for some cliff jumping and swimming in the cave. Even on the walk to and from the tubing site we got a little lesson on the local flora and fauna. Between both guides we gained so much knowledge about the past and present culture of Belize and had so much fun doing it! I’m glad we were lucky enough to book with Cave Branch Tour Guide Association. Thanks again guys!
